What is Express Transport?
Express transport means a vehicle, usually a van, is sent to collect your goods as soon as possible and drive them straight to the delivery address. There is no depot, no sorting and no other customer’s freight on board.
It is the fastest way to move urgent goods by road. Most journeys on the UK mainland can be delivered the same day, and many places in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany the next day. When the distance is too great for road, we switch to air freight or an on-board courier.
Typical uses include production line parts, urgent spares, samples, exhibition stock and anything needed to meet a deadline.

Watch out for: a 3.5 tonne van carries around 1,000 to 1,200 kg. Heavier or bulkier goods need a larger vehicle, which can take longer to arrange, so send accurate weights and sizes when you book.

Yes. Express jobs run 24/7, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Out-of-hours jobs can cost more, and both sites need someone available to load and sign.
Often, for nearer countries. A van to Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam can arrive the next morning, while air freight has to fit around flight times, airport handling and collection at the other end. For Spain, Italy or Eastern Europe, air or an on-board courier is often faster.
Drivers usually help unload at the back of the van, but heavy or bulky items need a forklift, tail-lift or extra people at the delivery site. Let us know if you need a two-person crew.
