Freight to India, with the new UK–India trade deal
India is one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies, and the UK–India trade agreement that came into force in July 2026 is cutting tariffs on many UK exports, from whisky and cars to machinery and medical devices. Shipping to India FAQs
Typically 20–28 days port to port. Air freight takes 1–3 days.
Since 15 July 2026, the agreement has been cutting or phasing out tariffs on many UK goods. You need valid proof of UK origin to claim the lower rates.
It is a mandatory certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards for many products, including electronics and some industrial goods. Check before you ship.
